Bees are more than just insects that make honey.
They play a very important role in nature.
Bees are pollinators, which means they help plants grow, reproduce, and make food.
When a bee lands on a flower, it collects nectar and pollen.
As it flies to the next flower, some of the pollen is left behind.
This helps the plant make seeds and grow new plants.
Without bees, many fruits, vegetables, and flowers would not grow well.

In fact, about one-third of the food we eat depends on pollination.

But today, bee populations are in danger.
Pesticides, climate change, and habitat loss are major problems.
Some bees get sick from chemicals used on farms.
Others can't find enough flowers to feed on.
As the Earth gets warmer, flowers bloom earlier or in different places.
This confuses bees and makes it harder for them to survive.

Scientists and farmers are working together to help bees.
They are planting more wildflowers, reducing harmful chemicals, and protecting natural spaces.
