We began helping in the kitchen when we each turned three years old.

We're sure that, at that age, we were more of a hindrance than help, but because our mom thought cooking was a good learning tool, she tolerated all of the mess that we made.

2. 우리가 그 나이 때는 도움이 된다기보다 더 많이 방해가 되었을 것이라고 확신하지만, 엄마는 요리가 좋은 학습 도구라고 생각했기 때문에, 우리가 만든 모든 엉망진창들을 참아냈다.

Of course, we didn't care about any of that learning stuff, we just thought it was fun, and we still do.

3. 물론 우리는 배우는 어떤 것에 대해서도 전혀 관심이 없었고 그저 재미있다 고만 생각했으며, 아직도 그렇다.

We learned to cook through trial and many errors.

4. 우리는 많은 시행착오들을 통해서 요리를 배웠다.

We can't tell you how many times we have dropped eggs on the floor, coated the kitchen in flour, or boiled things over on the stove.

5. 우리가 얼마나 많은 달걀을 바닥에 떨 어뜨리거나, 부엌을 밀가루로 뒤덮거나, 스토브에서 음식을 끓어 넘치게 했는지 여러분에게 말해줄 수 없다.

The point is, if there is a mistake that could be made, we have made it.

6. 요점은 할 수 있는 실수가 있다면, 우리는 그것을 해 왔다는 것이다.

But, as our mom always says, mistakes are the best teachers.

7. 그러나 엄마가 항상 말하는 것처럼, 실수는 최고의 선생님이다.

Through those mistakes we have learned what works and definitely what doesn't.

8. 그러한 실수를 통해 우리는 효과가 있는 것과 효과가 분명히 없는 것을 배워왔다.
