| 지문 1 | Everyone has challenges, whether they're visible or not. I was born without fingers on my right hand and with one leg shorter than the other. Even though the process to lengthen my leg was painful, I focused on what I could do, not on the pain. Jim Abbott, a baseball player with one hand, faced similar challenges. He wasn't good at baseball at first, but he practiced hard and became a great player. Like Jim, I don't let my disability stop me. Last year, I started on my high school basketball team as a freshman, won Rookie of the Year, and was one of the top scorers. One of my favorite memories was playing against a team that underestimated me because of my disability. They didn't cover me well, and I made several three-pointers and free throws, proving I was more than my challenges. The lesson is that everyone has obstacles, but we can choose how to face them. We can work hard, keep trying, and overcome anything. | |
